About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee their logistics operations in Randburg . This role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing warehouse activities, coordinating shipments, and supervising a team of logistics personnel. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding high standards of safety and operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and is adept at problem-solving in a fast-paced warehouse environment within the key economic hub of Gauteng .
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, stocking, and shipping.
- Manage and motivate a team of warehouse and logistics staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and cycle counts.
- Coordinate with transport providers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and standards within the warehouse.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a logistics or warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, order fulfillment, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment in Randburg .
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations.
