About the Role

This critical role is based in Randburg, Gauteng, and involves diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of hair and scalp conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat hair loss, scalp disorders, and other related conditions using scientific methods.
- Conduct in-depth consultations and physical examinations of clients’ hair and scalp.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including topical therapies, nutritional advice, and advanced treatments.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as dermoscopy and hair analysis.
- Oversee and guide the work of junior trichologists and support staff.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Educate clients on hair and scalp health, treatment options, and preventative measures.
- Stay current with the latest research, technologies, and treatment protocols in trichology.
- Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of clinic services and protocols.
Requirements
- Certification from a recognized Trichology institute or equivalent advanced training.
- A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in trichology or a closely related field (e.g., dermatology, advanced esthetics with a specialization).
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various forms of alopecia and scalp conditions.
- Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to lead a small clinical team.
- Proficiency in using trichoscopy and other diagnostic equipment.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Must reside in or be able to commute to Randburg, Gauteng.
