About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in HVAC systems to join their building services team in Randburg .
This senior role involves the design, implementation, and management of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of HVAC systems, including load calculations, system selection, and schematic development.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities for HVAC installations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections and commissioning to ensure HVAC systems are installed and operating according to design intent and performance standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers within the mechanical team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HVAC design and engineering , preferably within consulting or large project environments.
- In-depth knowledge of psychrometrics, thermodynamics, and HVAC system design principles.
- Proficiency with HVAC design software (e. g., Revit MEP, Auto CAD, IES VE) is essential.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills required for client and team interaction in Randburg .
