About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Steward to maintain cleanliness and organization within their busy kitchen environment in Randburg . This essential role supports the chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene, equipment is cleaned and maintained, and supplies are managed effectively. You will be a vital part of the kitchen team, contributing to a safe and efficient working space. Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen floors, surfaces, and waste disposal areas.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages.
- Receive and store deliveries of food and supplies according to hygiene standards.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter , Steward, or in a similar cleaning role is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed in the kitchen.
