About the Role
Our client is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Junior Corporate Paralegal to join their legal team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office. You will provide essential support to corporate attorneys in managing corporate records, assisting with contract administration, and facilitating compliance matters. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining corporate minute books, statutory registers, and other corporate records.
- Support attorneys in drafting and reviewing various corporate and commercial agreements.
- Help prepare and file corporate compliance documents with regulatory bodies.
- Conduct legal research related to corporate law and governance issues.
- Assist with due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
- Manage electronic document repositories and ensure efficient information retrieval.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a corporate legal environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with corporate law principles and practices in South Africa.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal database software.
- Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in a remote setting.
