You will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and center pivot systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in hydraulics, agronomy, and water management, playing a vital role in sustainable farming operations in the Gauteng province.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient irrigation plans tailored to specific crops and soil types.
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of irrigation equipment, including pumps, pipes, valves, and controllers.
- Monitor soil moisture levels and weather patterns to optimize watering schedules and minimize water waste.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems within the irrigation system, providing timely and effective solutions.
