About the Role
Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Internal Auditor to join their risk management and compliance team in Randburg . This role is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance throughout the organization. You will conduct audits, identify areas of weakness, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. The position requires a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for on-site assessments and remote analysis. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute internal audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and identify control deficiencies.
- Evaluate risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, documenting findings and proposing actionable recommendations.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations with management.
- Stay updated on auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Professional qualification such as CIA, CA(SA), or CISA.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal audit or public accounting.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, risk management, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
