About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join their team in Randburg . This role is critical for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within their manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all electrical components, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This position offers a chance to make a significant contribution to the operational uptime and safety of the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in machinery and control systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and codes.
- Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or heavy industry setting.
- Valid electrician's license and relevant trade qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to electrical safety standards.
