This role requires operating large trucks for the transportation of goods, adhering to strict schedules and safety protocols. You will be responsible for the safe handling of cargo, efficient route navigation, and maintaining the vehicle in good working order. The ideal candidate is experienced, possesses the necessary licenses, and has a strong understanding of road safety regulations within Gauteng . Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks safely and efficiently for long-haul or regional transport.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and delivered intact.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Requirements
- Valid Code 14 driver's license with valid PrDP.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience driving heavy-duty trucks.
- Clean driving record with no major offenses.
- Knowledge of load securing techniques and cargo handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
- Good communication and time management skills.
