Key Responsibilities
- Assist in geological mapping and data collection in the field, including outcrop description and structural measurements.
- Prepare rock and core samples for geological analysis and assaying.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and quality control checks on geological samples.
- Maintain geological databases and assist in data entry and management.
- Operate and maintain geological field equipment.
- Support senior geologists with report preparation and presentation materials.
Requirements
- National Diploma or relevant certification in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in a geological support role, internships considered.
- Basic understanding of geological principles and terminology.
- Proficiency in using basic field equipment and software for data recording.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition for fieldwork in varying conditions.
