About the Role
Our client is looking for a sharp and analytical Forensic Accountant to join their specialized team, serving clients in Randburg and surrounding areas. This role involves investigating financial irregularities, fraud, and other financial misconduct. You will apply accounting, auditing, and investigative skills to uncover financial discrepancies, analyze complex financial data, and provide expert testimony when required. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, strong investigative instincts, and the ability to communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in written reports. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into financial fraud, asset misappropriation, and other financial crimes.
- Analyze complex financial records, electronic data, and other evidence to identify irregularities and patterns.
- Quantify financial losses resulting from fraudulent activities.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, methodologies, and conclusions.
- Assist legal counsel in litigation support, including providing expert witness testimony.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFE certification preferred.
- Significant experience in forensic accounting , fraud investigation, or audit.
- Strong understanding of accounting, auditing, and investigative techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and investigative software.
- Ability to articulate complex findings clearly and concisely.
