About the Role

Our client, a dynamic production house in the Arts & Entertainment sector, is seeking a skilled and creative Film Editor for a fully remote position based in Randburg .

You will be responsible for assembling raw footage into compelling narratives for various film and video projects, from documentaries to promotional content.

This role requires a keen eye for pacing, storytelling, and a deep understanding of editing software.

You will collaborate closely with directors and producers to shape the final vision of each project, delivering high-quality content that engages audiences nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw footage into polished films, commercials, and other video content, adhering to creative briefs and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with directors and producers to interpret creative vision and refine storytelling through editing.
  • Select and assemble the most effective shots, dialogue, and sound for a seamless narrative flow.
  • Perform color correction, sound mixing, and add visual effects as needed to enhance the final product.
  • Manage project assets and maintain an organized editing workflow.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Film Editor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Da Vinci Resolve.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and rhythm in film editing.
  • Experience with color grading and audio mixing is highly desirable.
