About the Role
Our client is seeking a versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage the upkeep and repair of building systems at their premises in Randburg. This role is essential for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all facilities. You will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine checks to emergency repairs, across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building fabric. The ideal candidate will possess broad technical skills and a proactive approach to maintaining a high standard of facility operations within the Gauteng region.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests and emergency repair needs promptly.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to building infrastructure and equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work performed.
- Assist with minor installations and modifications to building systems as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or in a similar trade role.
- Broad knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Must hold a valid driver's license for potential off-site tasks within Gauteng.
