About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on and reliable Construction Supervisor to oversee daily operations on various construction sites in the Randburg area. This role is critical for ensuring that construction work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will lead and direct site teams, coordinate trades, and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong practical understanding of construction processes and excellent leadership capabilities, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of all on-site personnel, including laborers and tradespeople.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and site-specific safety procedures.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide on-site work.
- Maintain daily logs of site activities, progress, and any incidents.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor, Foreman, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and safety best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Physical fitness and ability to work on active construction sites.
- A relevant trade qualification or certification is advantageous.
