About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to manage and deliver essential municipal services projects in Randburg. This role is central to ensuring the provision and maintenance of critical infrastructure such as water supply, sanitation, and stormwater management for the community in Gauteng. You will be responsible for project planning, design, implementation, and oversight, working closely with municipal authorities and contractors. Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage projects related to water reticulation, sewer networks, and stormwater drainage systems.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and prepare conceptual designs.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring quality control and compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with municipal officials, consultants, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Candidate Engineer (Pr Eng) status is advantageous.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant civil engineering design software.
- Good understanding of municipal planning, procurement processes, and contract administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
