About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Athletic Trainer to join their sports medicine team in Randburg . This role is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of muscle and bone injuries and illnesses. You will work closely with athletes at various levels, providing immediate care, rehabilitation programs, and health education to ensure their optimal performance and well-being. The ideal candidate possesses excellent clinical skills, a strong understanding of sports-related injuries, and a commitment to athlete safety and care. This is an essential role in supporting the health and success of our athletic community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans for athletes recovering from injuries.
- Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention strategies and healthy training practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting all treatments and progress.
- Ensure compliance with athletic training best practices and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC).
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sports-related injuries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with athletes and medical staff.
