About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and skilled Architectural Drafter to join their busy studio in Randburg. This position is essential for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans based on architectural designs. You will work closely with architects and designers, ensuring all documentation meets project requirements and industry standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical aptitude and a keen eye for detail, looking to contribute to a variety of exciting projects within the Gauteng region and gain valuable experience in a professional architectural setting, supporting the creation of blueprints and construction documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using CAD software.
- Translate design concepts provided by architects into precise technical drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with building codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate drawings with other disciplines, such as structural and mechanical engineers.
- Assist in the preparation of tender and construction documentation packages.
- Maintain and organize drawing files and project archives.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Architectural Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as an Architectural Drafter or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; experience with Revit is a plus.
- Strong understanding of drafting conventions, symbols, and architectural terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
