About the Role
Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice Boilermaker position with a focus on structural steel fabrication in Randburg . This apprenticeship provides hands-on training in the construction, assembly, and repair of large metal structures, tanks, and pressure vessels. You will work under the mentorship of skilled boilermakers, learning vital skills in blueprint reading, metal preparation, welding, and fitting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior boilermakers in fabricating and assembling structural steel components.
- Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings , plans, and specifications.
- Operate various tools and machinery for cutting, shaping, and fitting metal.
- Participate in welding and riveting processes as instructed.
- Adhere to rigorous safety standards and procedures in workshop and site environments.
Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and interest in metal fabrication and construction .
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks, including working at heights.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive training and adhere to program guidelines.
