About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for generative AI initiatives.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify new product opportunities.
- Translate user needs and business requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories.
- Prioritize product backlog and manage the development process from ideation to launch.
- Collaborate closely with AI researchers, engineers, designers, and marketing teams.
- Define key product metrics and success criteria, and track product performance post-launch.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in generative AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, diffusion models).
- Develop go-to-market strategies and support product launch activities.
- Act as the product evangelist, communicating the value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage product lifecycle and make data-driven decisions to iterate and improve products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in product management, with a demonstrated track record of launching successful AI or technology products.
- Specific experience or deep understanding of generative AI technologies and their applications.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, especially in areas like NLP and computer vision.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into user-centric product features.
- Experience in user research and data analysis for product decision-making.
- Must be authorized to work in South Africa and reside in or be willing to relocate to Randburg, Gauteng.
