About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Site Foreman to supervise daily operations at construction sites in East London . This hands-on role is responsible for overseeing a team of construction workers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will be the direct link between site management and the labor force, coordinating daily activities, monitoring progress, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with strong leadership capabilities and a thorough understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct daily activities of construction workers and subcontractors on site.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor progress of work against project schedules and report any delays or issues to the site manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction site environment.
- Distribute tools, materials, and equipment to workers as needed.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on site equipment when required.
- Communicate effectively with site management, workers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role on construction sites.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of construction workers.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, tools, and equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans and specifications.
