About the Role
Our client, WhatJobs Direct, a prominent recruitment consultancy, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join their team in East London, Eastern Cape . This role is focused on serving the industrial and manufacturing sectors, a vital part of the regional economy. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for technical, operational, and management roles, identifying and securing top talent for manufacturing and industrial clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of these industries, a proven track record in recruitment, and excellent candidate engagement and client relationship management skills. This hybrid role allows for a balanced approach, combining on-site collaboration in East London, Eastern Cape with remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for roles within the industrial and manufacturing sectors, including engineers, technicians, production staff, and management.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates from a diverse talent pool.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, understanding their specific needs and operational challenges.
- Conduct thorough candidate screening, interviews, and assessments to ensure high-quality placements.
- Utilize recruitment databases, job boards, and networking channels to identify passive and active candidates.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and talent market dynamics within manufacturing and industry.
- Achieve and consistently meet or exceed placement and revenue targets.
- Provide a high level of service to both clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in recruitment, with a specialization in the Industrial and Manufacturing sectors.
- Proven ability to recruit for technical, operational, and leadership roles within these industries.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial operations, and relevant technical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site collaboration in East London, Eastern Cape with remote autonomy.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
