Senior Project Manager - Product Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful launch of new product development projects.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and operations, in a remote setting.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to stage-gate processes and quality standards.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with manufacturing partners and supply chain teams for seamless production.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication among all project stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Track project progress, provide regular status updates, and manage project documentation.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product development processes.
• Ensure product launches are coordinated effectively with marketing and sales efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Design, Business, or a related field.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on new product development in the technology or consumer electronics sector.
• Proven track record of successfully bringing new products from concept to market launch.
• Strong understanding of hardware and software development processes.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting approaches as needed.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Aha!).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and motivate teams in a fully remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
