About the Role
Our client, a prominent brand in the cosmetics industry, is seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Senior Makeup Artist & Beauty Educator. This role is based in East London, Eastern Cape, and operates on a hybrid model, requiring both in-person client interactions and remote content creation/virtual training. You will be responsible for providing expert makeup artistry services, educating clients and consumers on product usage, and developing educational content. Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional makeup application services for photoshoots, events, client consultations, and brand demonstrations.
- Conduct makeup tutorials and workshops for consumers, retail staff, and brand ambassadors, both in-person and virtually.
- Develop engaging educational content, including video tutorials, written guides, and social media posts, showcasing product application and techniques.
- Stay current with the latest makeup trends, techniques, and product innovations in the beauty industry.
- Advise clients on product selection, application techniques, and skincare relevant to makeup wear.
- Maintain a clean and organized makeup kit and workspace, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Represent the brand professionally and enthusiastically at events and on digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop compelling beauty content.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on artist and consumer experiences.
- Manage appointment schedules and client bookings efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience as a Makeup Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse looks.
- Experience in beauty education, training, or content creation is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of makeup products, application techniques, color theory, and skincare.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing hands-on work with remote content development and virtual training.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for content creation (e.g., video editing basics, social media platforms).
- A passion for the Beauty & Wellness industry and a creative flair.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
