About the Role
Our client, a leading management consultancy, is seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Technology Strategy and Architecture to join their team in East London, Eastern Cape . This role is crucial for advising clients on how to align their technology strategies with business objectives, design robust IT architectures, and leverage technology for competitive advantage. You will work with clients to assess their current technology landscape, identify opportunities for innovation, and develop actionable roadmaps for digital transformation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine technology strategies that align with clients\' business goals and industry trends.
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and efficient IT solutions and systems.
- Conduct technology assessments, capability gap analyses, and digital maturity reviews.
- Advise clients on emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Lead the development of IT roadmaps, implementation plans, and business cases for technology investments.
- Collaborate with clients\' IT departments and business units to ensure successful technology adoption and integration.
- Manage project teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology consulting services.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to the firm\'s intellectual capital in technology strategy and architecture.
Requirements
- Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in technology consulting, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or a related technical leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions and architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data management, cybersecurity principles, and digital transformation trends.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
- Experience working with clients in the South African market is a strong asset.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
