About the Role
Our client, a leading cybersecurity firm specializing in blockchain and smart contract security, is seeking an experienced Senior Blockchain Security Auditor to join their elite team in East London, Eastern Cape . You will be responsible for conducting in-depth security assessments of smart contracts, dApps, and blockchain protocols, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing actionable recommendations to clients. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contract languages (especially Solidity), common attack vectors, and robust security best practices. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in identifying and mitigating complex security risks within the decentralized ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive security audits and code reviews for smart contracts written in Solidity and other relevant languages.
- Identify, analyze, and document vulnerabilities, including reentrancy attacks, integer overflows, gas limit issues, and access control flaws.
- Develop and execute advanced penetration testing strategies for dApps and blockchain platforms.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing blockchain projects.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable remediation advice to clients.
- Stay at the forefront of blockchain security threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
- Contribute to the development of internal security tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding standards.
- Mentor junior security analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Maintain client confidentiality and provide exceptional professional service.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on blockchain security and smart contract auditing.
- Expert-level proficiency in Solidity and deep understanding of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) internals.
- Proven experience identifying complex vulnerabilities in smart contracts and blockchain protocols.
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic principles and common blockchain security flaws.
- Experience with security analysis tools, fuzzing techniques, and formal verification methods.
- Familiarity with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Solana).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet deadlines.
