About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Retail Stockroom Assistant to manage inventory and support operations at their store in East London. You will play a vital role in ensuring the stockroom is efficient, organized, and accurately reflects inventory levels. This part-time position is crucial for maintaining the flow of merchandise to the sales floor and supporting the overall success of the retail business. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and accurately record all incoming merchandise in the stockroom.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and easily navigable.
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor, including ticketing, tagging, and steaming.
- Assist with inventory transfers between the stockroom and the sales floor as needed.
- Support the receiving team in managing deliveries and ensuring all orders are accounted for correctly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a stockroom or warehouse environment is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work methodically.
- Physical capability to lift and move merchandise, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles helpful.Willingness to work part-time hours, including weekends, in East London.
