About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Research Engineer with expertise in Renewable Energy technologies to join their innovative team in East London . This hybrid role involves both hands‑on laboratory work and computational analysis, focusing on the development and optimization of sustainable energy solutions. You will play a crucial role in advancing research in areas such as solar, wind, or battery technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test prototypes for renewable energy systems or components.
  • Conduct performance analysis and characterization of energy devices using relevant equipment.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers on research projects.
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on energy.
  • Proven experience in renewable energy research, including design, testing, and analysis.
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, CAD software).
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or electrical circuits as applicable to energy systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a laboratory and office setting.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in East London .
