Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives from anywhere. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system across all manufacturing operations. You will oversee quality control processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with a strong background in quality assurance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams remotely, supporting our client's national operations, including those in Queenstown .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Establish quality metrics and KPIs, and monitor performance across all operational sites.
- Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality considerations throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within manufacturing.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing remote teams and driving quality initiatives across multiple locations.
