About the Role
Our client, a growing hotel management group, is seeking a skilled and data-driven Remote Hotel Revenue Optimization Specialist. This role is entirely remote and focuses on maximizing revenue for a portfolio of hotels by leveraging advanced analytics and dynamic pricing strategies. You will work closely with on-site hotel teams to implement and refine revenue management tactics, analyze market data, and drive occupancy and profitability. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our partner hotels, including those in the Eastern Cape near East London , achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market data, competitor pricing, and historical booking trends to forecast demand accurately.
- Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies across various distribution channels (OTAs, GDS, direct).
- Monitor hotel performance metrics, including occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate remotely with hotel General Managers and Revenue Teams to implement recommended strategies.
- Manage and optimize room inventory to maximize yield and profitability.
- Prepare regular performance reports and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay current with revenue management best practices and emerging technologies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of promotional offers and packages.
- Ensure optimal utilization of the Property Management System (PMS) and Revenue Management System (RMS).
- Provide training and guidance to hotel teams on revenue management principles and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel revenue management or a closely related analytical role.
- Proven experience with forecasting, pricing strategies, and channel management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in PMS and RMS software, as well as Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Excellent understanding of the hospitality industry and its booking dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote setting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for remote collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the South African market is advantageous.
