About the Role
Our client is a leading national catering service provider seeking a dedicated Remote Catering Operations Specialist to manage and optimize their catering services from a remote location. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the smooth functioning of catering operations across various sites without being physically present. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing inventory, ensuring quality control, and liaising with clients and on-site teams through digital platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate catering operations for multiple client sites remotely.
- Manage and track inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies using digital systems.
- Liaise with on-site catering teams, providing guidance, support, and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for remote catering management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding remote catering inquiries and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards across all serviced locations.
- Prepare regular reports on catering performance, inventory status, and operational efficiency for management.
- Utilize various communication and project management tools to facilitate seamless remote collaboration.
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventative measures to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in catering management, hospitality operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operations remotely, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong proficiency in using digital tools for inventory management, communication, and reporting (e.g., MS Office Suite, specialized catering software).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and clients.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate and address challenges independently.
- Understanding of catering best practices, food safety regulations, and quality control.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.
- High-speed internet connectivity and a dedicated home office setup suitable for remote work.
- Previous experience in a remote role is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
