About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments for the development and optimization of cell culture or microbial fermentation processes.
- Scale-up bioprocesses from laboratory bench to pilot scale, ensuring successful technology transfer.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and interpret results to guide process improvements.
- Develop and optimize media formulations and feeding strategies.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and identify root causes.
- Collaborate remotely with upstream and downstream development teams, manufacturing, and analytical groups.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, study protocols, and presentations.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in bioprocess engineering.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Contribute to the design and implementation of novel bioprocessing strategies.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in bioprocess development (cell culture or microbial fermentation).
- Proven experience in process scale-up and technology transfer.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab) and experimental design (DoE).
- Strong understanding of cell biology, microbial physiology, and bioprocess fundamentals.
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience with bioreactor operation and control systems.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques used in bioprocess monitoring.
