About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee significant projects within their automotive manufacturing facility located in East London . This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of projects aimed at improving production efficiency, implementing new manufacturing technologies, and optimizing supply chain processes. You will collaborate closely with production teams, engineering departments, and international suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes that drive innovation and competitive advantage in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver complex projects within the automotive manufacturing environment, from concept to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget control, and risk management.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain.
- Ensure projects comply with industry standards, quality regulations, and safety protocols specific to automotive manufacturing.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement timely corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
- Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a strong focus on the automotive industry or manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing projects related to new product introduction, process optimization, or factory automation.
- In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical), Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience working with international suppliers and managing global project teams.
