About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Efficiency Manager to lead operational improvements at their facility in Queenstown . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production efficiency, implementing strategies to maximize output, minimize waste, and ensure the highest quality standards. You will manage a team of engineers and production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven ability to drive significant performance enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance overall production efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers and production supervisors, setting clear performance objectives.
- Oversee the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices throughout the production floor.
- Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards across all production operations.
- Manage production schedules and resource allocation to meet demand forecasts effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in production management or industrial engineering , with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven track record of successfully managing production operations and driving efficiency gains.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in production planning and control systems.
