About the Role
Our client seeks a strategic and analytical Strategic Sourcing Specialist to drive value and efficiency within their procurement operations in East London. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to ensure the best possible outcomes in terms of cost, quality, and service. You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for key categories, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating favorable contract terms. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for assigned categories of spend.
- Conduct thorough market intelligence and supplier landscape analysis.
- Lead complex negotiations with potential and existing suppliers to secure optimal pricing and terms.
- Manage supplier performance through regular reviews and establish strong, collaborative relationships.
- Analyze spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
- Demonstrated success in leading sourcing projects and contract negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with spend analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience with procurement software and e-sourcing platforms.
