About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly qualified and empathetic Sports Psychologist to join their team supporting athletes in East London . This role focuses on enhancing athletic performance by addressing the psychological aspects of sport, including motivation, focus, confidence, and managing pressure. You will work with athletes of all levels to develop mental skills, overcome performance barriers, and promote overall well-being. This position requires a deep understanding of sport psychology principles and a commitment to fostering mental resilience and excellence in athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify psychological strengths and areas for development in athletes.
- Develop and implement individualized mental skills training programs (e.g., goal setting, imagery, mindfulness).
- Provide counseling and support to athletes dealing with performance anxiety, stress, burnout, or injury recovery.
- Collaborate with coaches and support staff to integrate psychological strategies into training and competition.
