About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Junior Event Coordinator to support the planning and execution of sports events in East London . This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sports and events to gain practical experience. You will assist the Event Manager with various tasks, including logistics, vendor coordination, participant communication, and on-site support. This role requires a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment within the Leisure & Sports sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics for sports events, such as venue setup and equipment.
- Support vendor management, including sourcing, contracting, and communication.
- Help with participant registration and provide customer service to attendees.
- Provide on-site support during events, assisting with various operational tasks.
- Help create event materials and promotional content.
- Assist with post-event tasks, including feedback collection and basic reporting.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in event coordination, marketing, or a related field, preferably with exposure to sports.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Event Management, Sports Management, or Marketing.
