About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Installation & Maintenance Technician to join their team in East London . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of client equipment and systems through expert installation and ongoing maintenance services. You will be responsible for setting up new systems, performing routine checks, and troubleshooting issues to ensure client satisfaction and operational continuity. This is a hands‑on, field‑based position that requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a customer‑focused approach to service delivery within the Eastern Cape.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure new equipment and systems according to technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair technical faults or malfunctions in installed systems.
- Respond to client service requests and provide timely on‑site support.
- Maintain accurate records of all installation and maintenance activities, including parts used.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures during field operations.
- Provide basic operational guidance to clients upon completion of installations or repairs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a technical installation, field service, or maintenance role.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable with travel within the East London area.
