About the Role
Our client is seeking a competent Electrical Engineer to enhance their building services team in East London . This role is centered on the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical installations meet high standards of safety, efficiency, and functionality. The position requires a hybrid work model, combining office-based design responsibilities with on-site project coordination and inspections. Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and schedules using CAD software.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for new building projects.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical services.
- Oversee electrical installations, inspections, and commissioning to ensure compliance with design and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the construction phase and post-occupancy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical building services design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant electrical design software.
- Solid understanding of building codes, standards, and energy efficiency principles.
- Experience with low-voltage systems such as fire alarm, security, and data networks.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for a hybrid work environment.
