About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Email Marketing Specialist to join their team in East London . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, retention, and sales for our online store. This role requires a strong understanding of email marketing platforms, customer segmentation, and campaign analytics to deliver personalized and effective communication. You will play a key role in nurturing customer relationships and maximizing the lifetime value of our customer base through targeted email strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted email marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, newsletters, automated workflows (welcome series, abandoned cart emails), and customer segmentation strategies.
- Write compelling and persuasive email copy and collaborate with design teams to create visually appealing email templates that align with brand guidelines.
- Manage and maintain the email marketing platform (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo), ensuring data accuracy and optimal deliverability.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and provide regular reports with actionable insights for improvement.
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times to optimize campaign performance and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations (e.g., POPIA) and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or similar role, with a focus on e-commerce .
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms and marketing automation tools.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, A/B testing, and email campaign analytics.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a strong command of persuasive language.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices for content optimization is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
