About the Role
Our client, a prominent family residing in the affluent suburb of Randburg, Gauteng , is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Nanny to manage the care and well-being of their three children, aged 5, 8, and 11. This is a demanding yet rewarding role requiring exceptional organizational skills, maturity, and a genuine love for children. The Senior Nanny will be responsible for overseeing the children's daily routines, academic support, extracurricular activities, and fostering a positive and structured home environment. The family requires a dedicated individual who can provide consistent care, ensure safety, and contribute to the children's overall development and happiness. The position is based in a spacious family home in a desirable neighbourhood of Randburg .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for three children (ages 5, 8, 11), managing their daily schedules and routines.
- Oversee homework completion and provide academic assistance across various subjects.
- Plan and facilitate engaging age-appropriate activities, educational games, and outings.
- Manage children's extracurricular activities, including transportation to and from events.
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, both at home and in public.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Maintain tidiness and organization in the children's rooms and play areas.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Act as a positive role model, instilling good values and manners.
- Occasional babysitting during evenings or weekends may be required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of professional nanny experience, with significant experience caring for multiple children of varying ages.
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules and provide academic support.
- Excellent understanding of child development across different age groups.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and experience driving children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- A calm, patient, and energetic demeanor.
- Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa and reside in or be willing to relocate to Randburg, Gauteng .
