About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and knowledgeable Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality control initiatives for FMCG products in Randburg . This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality management systems to ensure all products meet stringent internal and external standards. You will oversee quality assurance processes throughout the production lifecycle, manage audits, and drive continuous improvement in product quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA within the FMCG sector and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, contributing to a culture that prioritizes product integrity and consumer safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) in accordance with industry standards.
- Oversee all quality assurance activities, including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and finished product testing.
- Conduct regular internal audits and host external audits to ensure compliance.
- Manage and train the QA team, ensuring competency and adherence to procedures.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices for FMCG products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- 5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control , with a significant portion in the FMCG industry .
- Proven experience in implementing and managing QMS (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP).
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience with audit procedures and documentation.
