About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Information Security Architect to design and implement secure solutions for their operations in Randburg . This senior role involves creating the blueprints for the organization's security infrastructure, ensuring that security is integrated into all aspects of IT systems and applications. You will work on defining security standards, evaluating new technologies, and providing technical leadership to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. This is a critical position for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and application architectures.
- Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to address evolving threats.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to ensure security requirements are met.
- Lead security reviews and risk assessments for new projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to security and IT staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in information security, with a significant portion focused on security architecture and design.
- In-depth knowledge of network security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security.
- Experience with designing secure solutions for on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and relevant compliance regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
