About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to optimize manufacturing schedules and resource allocation for their operations in East London . This role is critical for ensuring timely production and efficient use of materials and machinery. You will be responsible for creating production plans, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with various departments to meet customer demands. This hybrid role allows for effective collaboration both on-site and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, order priorities, and available resources.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen issues.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and on-time delivery.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and recommend improvements to planning processes.
- Ensure that production plans align with company capacity, efficiency targets, and cost-control objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data sets and forecast demand.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory management principles.
