About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage daily operations at various construction sites in East London . This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead and motivate site teams effectively. You will be instrumental in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, adhere to quality standards, and meet project timelines. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the construction sector within the Eastern Cape , with a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring work progresses according to plans and specifications.
- Coordinate the work of tradespeople, laborers, and subcontractors on site.
- Implement and enforce all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used, ensuring compliance with project standards.
- Manage site resources, including equipment and materials, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Liaise with project managers and site engineers to report on progress, address issues, and coordinate work schedules.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of site activities, personnel, and materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor, Foreman, or similar role for at least 3 years.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to health and safety best practices on construction sites.
- Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
