About the Role
Our client, a leader in the Logistics & Warehousing sector, is looking for a highly analytical and results-oriented Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in East London. This role is pivotal in optimizing supply chain performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving operational efficiency through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain principles, and proficiency in data analysis tools. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility with a blend of remote analysis and on-site operational interaction. You will play a key role in enhancing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of our client's logistics network in the East London area.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on supply chain performance.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational changes and new initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and sales, to align supply chain strategies.
- Research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Support the development of demand forecasts and inventory planning.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage data integrity and ensure accuracy in all analytical outputs.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Logistics Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Excellent understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and warehousing.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- Experience in the East London logistics market is a significant advantage.
