About the Role
Our client, a prominent and rapidly growing entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Logistics and Distribution Coordinator to join their operations in a fully remote capacity. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and ultimately to customers. The coordinator will manage and optimize daily logistics operations, including transportation scheduling, inventory management, and freight coordination. You will work closely with internal teams and external logistics partners to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily logistics operations, including transportation planning and scheduling.
- Oversee the tracking and tracing of shipments, ensuring timely delivery and identifying potential delays.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers.
- Optimize distribution routes and transportation methods to minimize costs and transit times.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouses to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
- Process shipping documents, invoices, and other relevant logistics paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist in resolving logistics-related issues and customer inquiries promptly.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain coordination, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, freight forwarding, and warehouse management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities with logistics partners.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations is a plus.
