This role will involve advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment-related matters, including compliance, dispute resolution, and litigation. You will have the opportunity to represent clients in the Labour Court and other relevant forums, providing expert counsel and strategic solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of South African employment law, including BCEA, LRA, and EEA compliance.
- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and disciplinary procedures.
- Represent clients in CCMA arbitrations, bargaining council disputes, and Labour Court proceedings.
- Conduct workplace investigations and advise on disciplinary actions.
- Provide guidance on retrenchments, restructuring, and collective bargaining.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and best practices in employment law.
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in employment law.
- Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and dispute resolution processes.
- Experience in representing clients in the CCMA and Labour Court.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships and provide practical legal advice.
