About the Role
Our client, a prestigious law firm based in East London , is seeking an ambitious and diligent Junior Associate to join their thriving Corporate Law practice. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a newly admitted or recently qualified attorney to gain hands-on experience in a wide array of corporate transactions and advisory work. You will support senior lawyers in complex matters, conduct legal research, and draft essential legal documents. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and reviewing corporate agreements, including sale agreements and shareholder agreements.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various corporate and commercial law issues.
- Support senior attorneys in corporate due diligence processes.
- Handle company secretarial duties and maintain statutory registers.
- Assist with the formation and registration of new companies.
- Provide general legal support to the corporate law department.
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- Newly admitted or up to 3 years post-admission experience in Corporate Law .
- Strong academic record and a keen interest in corporate and commercial transactions.
- Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn within a East London based firm.
