Our client seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join their team in East London , operating on a hybrid basis. This role is essential for protecting the organization's information assets by identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring security systems, and responding to threats. You will play a key part in developing and implementing security policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and a passion for safeguarding digital environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events, investigate potential threats, and perform initial incident response.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM, and antivirus software.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in information security or a related technical role.
- Proficiency with security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS), vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions.
- Solid understanding of network security principles, protocols, and operating systems.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication abilities for clients in East London .
