About the Role
Our client, a renowned diving center in East London , is seeking an experienced and PADI-certified Head Dive Instructor to lead their team of diving professionals. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of diver training, safety, and customer experience. You will manage dive courses, lead diving expeditions, and maintain equipment while fostering a safe and enjoyable learning environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about the underwater world, possesses excellent teaching abilities, and has a strong commitment to safety and conservation within the diving community.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and certify divers across various PADI levels, from Open Water to Divemaster.
- Lead and supervise recreational diving trips and excursions for certified divers.
- Manage and maintain all diving equipment, ensuring it is safe, functional, and up-to-date.
- Train and mentor assistant dive instructors, ensuring adherence to PADI standards and company protocols.
- Promote diving activities and courses, assisting with customer inquiries and bookings in East London .
Requirements
- PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) certification or equivalent higher rating is mandatory.
- Current EFR (Emergency First Response) Instructor qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching scuba diving certifications.
- Excellent diving skills, knowledge of local dive sites, and a strong safety record.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
